About Us

Washington D.C. based Yoshitoshi Recordings was founded in 1994 by Ali 'Dubfire' Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi of Deep Dish. The label includes two sub-labels in the form of Shinichi Recordings and newly minted YO Recordings, which were formed as another outlet to release the large amount of quality music that finds its way to Yoshitoshi.

We’ve been doing this for 10 years now.

Q3. How would you describe it?

Cutting edge dance music—if it is good, we will release it. There is a lot of quality music out there that defies genre, and we just want to give it a home. That is how we stay at the forefront of the dance scene.

Q4. What do you hope to achieve with it?

Profile and release the best dance music has to offer, of course!

Q5. What’s your biggest release to date?

We've had many big releases, so it is hard to choose. Eddie Amador, Luzon, Danny Howells, Valentino, Sultan & the Greek, Morel….just to name a few.
